CA-52

Representative Scott Peters has frequently voted against progressive priorities in a liberal district. President Barack Obama won CA-52 with 52.1% of the vote in 2012. It’s time to have a real progressive representing the people of California’s 52nd congressional district.

A Few Reasons to Primary:

  • In 2013, Rep. Peters voted for a Republican bill to address to fake controversy of the Obama administration “gutting” work requirements for welfare
  • In 2013, Rep. Peters was one of just 10 Democrats who voted for a Republican bill to freeze federal workers’ pay
  • In 2013, Rep. Peters voted for Republican gimmick to make President Obama submit annual balanced budgets
  • In 2013, Rep. Peters voted for a Republican bill to allow federal employees to be fired for being behind on their taxes.
  • In 2013, Rep. Peters voted against the House Progressive Caucus’s “Back to Work” budget
  • In 2013, Rep. Peters voted for a Republican bill to force health insurers to keep selling substandard health insurance plans
  • in 2013, Rep. Peters voted for a Republican bill weakening a provision of the Dodd-Frank financial reform bill regulating swaps
