The Visitax payment portal is easy to use and takes only minutes to complete. All you need is a valid passport and an email address to receive your payment confirmation. It’s important to note that this fee is separate from the Mexican Departure tax included in your airline ticket and the Environmental taxes collected at most all-inclusive resorts.
How To Apply And Get Your Tourist Receipt
Once you’ve completed the online process, you will be redirected to a confirmation page where you can print your receipt. You can also save the QR code to your smartphone so you can easily show it at the airport when you arrive, if needed. The Visitax fee is currently not included in your airline tickets or hotel bookings, but some airlines (American & Delta) are starting to include statements about it in their pre-departure emails to clients.
